今年4月20日至22日,江泽民总书记在江苏省考察乡镇企业时指出,乡镇企业是我国亿万农民的一个伟大创造,也是党领导改革开放所取得的一项巨大成就。在我们这样一个农村人口占大多数的国家搞现代化,发展乡镇企业是一项重大战略,是一个长期的根本的方针。实践证明,发展乡镇企业是实现在业现代化、实现农村小康的必由之路,也是一条有中国特色的工业化道路。各级领导一定要从国民经济和社会发展全局的高度来认识乡镇企业的重要地位和作用。
