China and France, both permanent members of the United Nations, have achieved fruitful results in cooperation in various fields including politics, economy and culture since the establishment of ambassadorial-level diplomatic relations in 1964. In 2004, the heads of state of the two countries signed the joint statement and decided to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and France. The year 2013 marked the tenth year of establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in 2004. The relationship between the media and the national image is worth studying. As a big western country, France reported its presence in China is somewhat representative and influential in the West as well as the rest of the world. Therefore, the analysis of the coverage of the French media’s reports on China’s affairs not only helps our country to build a good image in the international arena and promote mutual visits between China and France and even between Central Europe
