硼在自然界中含量相当丰富,通常以硼酸、硼酸盐或硼硅酸盐矿的形式存在,无论是地下水、地表水中都含有一定量的硼,在用电感耦合等离子质谱法测定水中硼时,记忆效应很明显,如果不消除记忆效应,测定值经常偏高。消除记忆效应最简单的方法是对仪器的管路进行清洗,用纯水清洗仪器管路能够消除硼的记忆效应,并有最佳清洗时间。硼元素测定由高浓度到低浓度,在0.10mg/l到0.30mg/l范围内,纯水清洗1分钟后,相对误差能低于5%;由低浓度到高浓度,记忆效应小,可以不经清洗直接测定。
