目前世界上发达国家和地区的公民筹划旅游,其中三分之二的是在网上实现的。目前北京市从事旅游电子商务的公司虽然不少,但总体上看规模不大、服务内容不全面、服务手段不便捷,远远落后发达国家。“奥运将为北京旅游业带来一个庞大的旅游市场。”相信很少会有人否定这一看法。虽然很多人将到北京旅游的计划推后,今年“五一”黄金周的北京旅游市场依然取得了不错的成绩:共接待国内游客361万人次,7天进账25亿元,其中外省市来京游客有133万人,北京市民在京游为228万人次。有理由相信,在奥运带来的旅游商机开始凸现后,这些数据将更为惊人。
