台湾政治大学民族学系教授贺大卫(David Holm)新作《古壮字地理研究》(Mapping theOld Zhuang Character Script:A Vernacular Writing System from Southern China),作为西方著名出版机构BRILL推出的东方学研究系列丛书第28卷,已于2013年初出版。该书采用壮族、布依族、越南北部岱侬族古方块字(泛称古壮字)45个点的文献资料(不少为作者及其团队调查所得),绘制了133幅图,对60个常用字字形、读音的地理异同进行分析,考察其历史 David Holm, a professor of ethnology at National Chengchih University in Taiwan, mapped out the “Writing the Old Zhuang Character Script: A Vernacular Writing System from Southern China.” As the Oriental Studies Series published by BRILL, a famous Western publishing house, 28 volumes, was published in early 2013.
