8月8日,新华社发布消息称我国首个火星模拟基地项目将落户青海省海西州大柴旦红崖地区,这里拥有典型的雅丹地貌群,其独特的地形地貌、自然风光、气候条件使之成为专家眼中“中国最像火星的地方”。模拟基地与火星的地质地貌条件并不是完全相似,因而在通过相关研究对火星的情况进行考察的同时,也可以实现对火星和地球的对比实验研究。火星模拟基地项目将填补国内在航天、天文、地理、地质、气象、新能源等领域一体化科学实践教育基地的空白。
