人民教育出版社编写出版的高中数学试验教材自1997年开始在两省一市进行三年的试用后,目前已被全国约半数的省市所采用.该教材增加了许多新的内容,其中也包括了向量的知识. 然而在试用中发现,有不少教师对向量教学的意义与目标仍不甚明了.因此,笔者认为,理解向量教学的意义、明确向量教学的目标是保证向量教材和教学改革顺利进行的必要的前提. 中学向量知识作为中学数学内容的一部分,其教学目标必然服从于中学数学总的教学
