In the context of globalization, the area of global citizenship education is still far from being explored in terms of theories and practices. This paper intends to apply the culture teaching approach “Cultural Clusters”(Taylor & Sorenson,1961) in ELT classes at tertiary level and tries to explore in what ways this approach can contribute to global citizenship education along with the traditional language skills teaching. The cultural clusters contain some theme-based activities, such as international news report, lectures, movie watching and research-based projects. They were examined in terms of knowledge, skills and values and attitudes which were drawn based on the three dimensions in Byram(2008).It is found that each activity made different contributions to the education of global citizenship in terms of knowledge, skills, values and attitudes.
