我读研究生的时候,曾听过乐黛云先生所做的现代文学研究史的讲座。乐先生从1923年胡适的《五十年来中国之文学》、1932年周作人的《中国新文学的源流》讲起,洋洋洒洒,一直介绍到70年代末,共举出24种文学史(其中有8种是重要的),一一加以评点,客观地、平心静气地说出它们的可看之处和存在的局限。她当时便引导我们要注意各种文学史所留下的时间烙印。对于那个已逝的时代来说,叙述者们把文学曾经看成什么样子,便会写成什么样子。我特别记得她提到丁易的一卷本《中国现
When I was a graduate student, I had heard lectures by Mr. Le Daiyun on the history of modern literature. From the poem “Chinese Literature in Fifty Years” written by Hu Shih in 1923 and “The Origins of Chinese New Literature” by Zhou Zuoren in 1932, Mr. Le has been introducing it to the late 1970s for a total of 24 kinds of literary history (including 8 kinds are important), one by one commentary, objectively, calmly say what they can see and the limitations of existence. At that time, she guided us to pay attention to the imprint of the time left by various literary history. For the late era, what the narrator would have written was what it looked like. In particular, I recall she mentioned Ding Yi’s book, “The Present of China.”
