发源于云南省曲靖市沾益县的马雄山东麓的西江,蜿蜒2214公里,流域面积36万平方公里,占珠江流域总面积的79%。这条南中国最长、流量最大、流域最广、里程最长的河流,中下游建有广州、佛山、肇庆、中山、珠海乃至澳门特别行政区的取水口130多个,几乎负担着整个珠三角地区数千万人的生活、生产用水的需要。
Originated in Zhanyi County, Yunnan Province, Ma Xiongxian the eastern foot of the Xijiang River, winding 2214 km, the basin area of 360,000 square kilometers, accounting for 79% of the total area of the Pearl River Basin.
