Objective To observe the improvement of pruritus in patients with uremic maintenance hemodialysis by hypothermia hemodialysis. Methods Totally 65 patients with maintenance hemodialysis and pruritus in our hospital were randomly divided into hypothermia dialysis group and control group. The dialysis fluid temperature was 35-35.5 ℃ in dialysis group and 37 ℃ dialysate group in normal temperature group. No difference was found in other treatment regimens. Observe the skin itching to improve the situation. Results In the 33 cases of cryogenic dialysis group, pruritus was effective in 6 cases and effective in 17 cases, with a total effective rate of 69.7%. Compared with the control group, there was significant difference (P <0.01). Conclusion Low-temperature dialysis can effectively relieve pruritus of uremic patients and is safe and economical. It can be used as a primary treatment for mild pruritus and an important adjuvant therapy for severe stubborn pruritus.
