2008年,上海民族乐器一厂应北京奥委会邀请,特定制作了64把电声二胡,在北京奥运会闭幕式上为全世界观众献上一席民乐盛宴。2010年,上海民族乐器一厂再次被委以弘扬民族文化的重任,应上海世博会闭幕式导演组邀请,12位绰约多姿的年轻演员手抱敦煌琵琶亮相上海世博会闭幕式的舞台,转轴拨弦诉盛情,展示中国民族音乐的魅力凤韵。
