pH对氨基酸的荧光光谱有较大的影响已是众所周知的事实,但有机酸和无机酸对非电离型的有机化合物荧光光谱的影响是近十年来才开始研究的课题。而其相互作用的机理尚不清楚。1969年,Smith报道甲氧基苯的荧光可以被酸淬灭,并用同位素交换法证明在激发态有质子交换。1978年Bunce等人研究了一系列化合物与三氟乙酸之间的相互作用,发现三氟乙酸能淬灭这些化合物的荧光。因此提出了这些化合物能与三氟乙酸形成激基复合物
It is a well-known fact that pH has a large influence on the fluorescence spectra of amino acids. However, the influence of organic acids and inorganic acids on the fluorescence spectra of non-ionized organic compounds has not been studied for nearly a decade. The mechanism of its interaction is not yet clear. In 1969, Smith reported that methoxybenzene fluorescence could be quenched by acid and that it was confirmed by isotope exchange that there was proton exchange in the excited state. In 1978, Bunce et al. Studied the interaction between a series of compounds and trifluoroacetic acid and found that trifluoroacetic acid can quench the fluorescence of these compounds. It is therefore proposed that these compounds form exciplex with trifluoroacetic acid
