This article evaluates ultra-high efficiency particulate air filters (ULPA) for purifying gases. The efficiency is greater than 99.999997% when tested using sodium chloride particles having a particle size in the range of 0.035 to 0.089 μm while maintaining a pressure differential (pressure drop) of 5 to 50 psia. The reason for choosing this particle size range is because it represents the most penetrating particle size for these filters. Testing of PVDF Membrane Filters (Watergard) proves that the performance of the Super Efficient Particulate Air Filters meets the requirements of equipment of production value.
