This paper describes a method for the simultaneous determination of silver and copper using a flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Resonance sensitive lines of silver (328.07 nm) and copper (327.40 nm) were used in the same monochrome letterband. Therefore, when silver and copper hollow cathode lamps radiate alternately, the absorption signals of silver and copper can be simultaneously detected. Computer-controlled to synchronize the acquisition of radiation and absorption data. Due to the introduction of the sample into the flame, a separate spray method was tested to reduce the volume of sample required and to save time for analysis.
