现代农业能够取得重大进展的重要原因是化学农药的发展和应用,如果不使用化学农药,作物产量的大幅度增长将不可能实现。然而,随着人们对农药对环境的影响的关注日益增多,严格的农药登记程序使可用的化学农药数量减少。因此,人们需要重新审视完全依赖化学农药进行害物防治的现状。
The important reason why modern agriculture can make significant progress is the development and application of chemical pesticides. If chemical pesticides are not used, the substantial increase of crop yield will not be realized. However, as concerns about the environmental impact of pesticides are increasing, a strict pesticide registration process reduces the amount of available chemical pesticides. Therefore, people need to re-examine the status quo of completely pest control based on chemical pesticides.
