Japan has the largest number of peace museums in the world, but most public peace museums, like the War Museum, do not show Japan’s history of aggression. Even in this respect, it is only showing that Japan was victimized by the atomic bombings during the Second World War While completely ignoring the experience of Japan’s other countries in Asia suffering from Japan’s devastation. However, other public peace museums and private museums, such as the Kofi people, objectively reflect Japan’s history of aggression during World War II, and it is quite positive for citizens to construct peace there. In peace education, the Museum of Peace plays an important role not only in schools but also in the community. The Museum of Peace will play a considerable role in conflict resolution and the promotion of peace.
