Objective: To study and discuss the clinical effect of FMR1 gene deletion on reproductive function in mice. Methods: Totally 20 male FMR1 knockout mice provided by the laboratory were selected randomly as the observation group. Twenty females of wild FVB at the same time were selected as the control group. They were respectively caged with 30 wild FVB females, and the reproductive function and reproductive status of females in both groups were statistically compared and analyzed. Results: There was no significant difference in sperm parameters, serum sex hormone levels and average litter size between two groups of males. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05). However, the pregnancy rate and male fertility rate in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with significant differences between the two groups (P <0.05). Conclusion: FMR1 gene deletion will significantly reduce the male fertility rate, but not sperm index, sex hormone levels and other effects.
