Objective To investigate the correlation of meancolorvesseldensity (MCVD) with histopathological grade and microvessel density (MVD) in renal cell carcinoma before operation. Methods Fifty patients with renal cell carcinoma underwent ultrasonography preoperatively to measure the MCVD value. Tumor tissue specimens were histopathologically graded after operation. The MVD values were measured by immunohistochemical staining with anti-CD105 monoclonal antibody, and the results were statistically analyzed Analysis. Results There was a positive correlation between MCVD and MVD (r = 0.480, P <0.05). There was significant difference in histopathological grade Ⅰ ~ Ⅲ between MCVD and MVD (P <0.05). Conclusion With the increase of histological grade of renal cell carcinoma, the MVD value increases and the MCVD value also increases. MCVD can objectively display the vascular distribution of renal cell carcinoma with different histological grading, which can be used as an index to judge the prognosis of renal cell carcinoma preoperatively.
