小麦是我国主要粮食作物之一,面积四亿三千万亩,占全国粮食作物面积的百分之十八,产量占全国粮食总产的百分之二十左右。抓好小麦生产对提高全国粮食生产,改善粮食供应和人民生活有着很重要的意义。实现小麦生产机械化是提高产量的重要措施之一。根据小麦集中产区的冀、鲁、豫、苏、皖、鄂、陕、甘、晋、京、津等十一个省市的统计,目前机收面积只占百分之一多,是小麦机械化中最薄弱的环节,很有必要大抓一下。
