西安半坡博物馆是我国第一座史前遗址博物馆。自1958年对外开放以来,在弘扬文化,培养青少年爱国之隋,凸显古都西安的历史风貌方面起到了良好的展示和传播作用。1961年3月,国务院确定该遗址为全国重点文物保护单位;1996年6月,中共中央宣传部公布为“培育爱国之情,激发报国之志”的全国爱国主义教育示范基地;1997年,西安市政府将西安半坡博物馆评定为西安旅游十大景之一;2008年被国家文物局评为国家一级博物馆。
Xi’an Banpo Museum is China’s first museum of prehistoric sites. Since the opening up to the outside world in 1958, it has played a good role of display and dissemination in promoting the culture, cultivating the patriotic suits of young people and highlighting the historical style of the ancient capital of Xi’an. In March 1961, the State Council decided that the site should be the national key cultural relics protection unit. In June 1996, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee promulgated the national patriotism education demonstration base for “cultivating patriotism and inspiring the nation to serve the country”; in 1997 Xi’an Municipal Government awarded Xi’an Banpo Museum one of the top ten tourist attractions in Xi’an. In 2008, it was awarded the National First Class Museum by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
