在浩如烟海的历代公文资料中,用歌谣体写成的极为少见,但太平天国的一些文告却正是创造性地运用了这种形式。《诛妖诏》便是其中一例。(此资料始见于清代反动文人张德坚的《贼情汇纂》卷七《贼文告伪诏旨式》) 《诛妖诏》颁发于太平天国定都南京后的次年(公元一八五四年)。是年,天国首都天京发生地震,军民惊魂忐忑。二月,副典金官陈先进纠集奸党,利用新加入太平军的人员心思未定,意志不坚之机,造谣惑众,暗中串通,阴谋联合清军,内外夹攻,从北城仪风门斩关出叛。终因走露风声被天王察访拿获,从严惩处。在这样动荡的形势下,洪秀全为了鼓舞军民斗志,颁发了这份《诛妖诏》。原文
