颐和园位于中国首都北京市海淀区、城市西北郊,占地面积2.93平方公里,是清朝的皇家行宫和大型皇家园林。原是清朝帝王行宫和园林“三山五园”(三山是万寿山、香山和玉泉山;五园为清漪园、静宜园、静明园、畅春园和圆明园)之一,前身清漪园,初创于清朝皇帝乾隆时期的1750年至1764年,利用元大都的水库昆明湖与万寿山为基本框架,植入大量传统的厅堂和画廊,构成气势磅礴、恢宏壮丽的园林建筑体系。
The Summer Palace is located in Haidian District, Beijing, the capital of China. It covers an area of 2.93 square kilometers and is the imperial palace and large imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty. It was originally one of the imperial palaces and gardens in the Qing Dynasty, one of the “Three Mountains and Five Gardens” (Sanshan is one of Longevity Hill, Xiangshan and Yuquanshan; the five parks are Qingyi Park, Jingyi Park, Jingming Park, Changchun Park and Yuanmingyuan Park) Qing Yi Park, founded in the Qianlong Emperor Qianlong period from 1750 to 1764, the use of Yuan Dadu reservoir Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill as the basic framework, implanted a large number of traditional halls and galleries, constitute a magnificent, magnificent landscape architecture system.
