Objectives: To understand the medical staff’s knowledge, attitude and behavior (KAP) status of influenza and influenza vaccine and to explore the main factors influencing the medical staff’s flu vaccination. Methods: The cluster stratified sampling method was used to survey the medical personnel in medical institutions in Qingdao. Descriptive analysis of influenza and influenza vaccine cognitive status, the use of Logistic regression analysis of the impact of vaccination rates were single factor and multivariate analysis. Results: A total of 1521 medical staff were investigated. The lowest correct answer to the knowledge of influenza and influenza vaccine was only 19.7% with an average of 52.3%. The flu vaccination rate for medical staff was 6.5%. The main reason for the unvaccination was fear of vaccine adverse reactions, accounting for 34.7%. Multivariate analysis showed that the factors influencing the vaccination rate were whether they were suffering from chronic diseases, hospital level, whether the influenza vaccine was safe and whether the time of influenza vaccination was known. Conclusion: The vaccination rate for medical staff is very low, and the cognition level of influenza and influenza vaccine needs to be further improved. Flu and influenza vaccines should be stepped up publicity to increase the availability of influenza vaccines and increase the rate of influenza vaccination.
