Tumor cells are transformed from normal cells, but when they become tumor cells they have abnormal morphology, metabolism and function. One of the most prominent features of tumor cells is the acquisition of “immortality,” in which telomerase activation plays a key role [1]. Telomerase is a reverse transcriptase that catalyzes the synthesis of telomere in the terminal structure of DNA. It has the ability to allow tumor cells to continue to replicate and survive.
