去年年底召开的中国民主促进会第十届中央委员会第三次全体会议提出,要创造性地工作,把民进建设成一个适应21世纪的高素质的参政党。从这个目标出发,全会着重研究了加强民进基层组织建设问题。会后,民进中央主席许嘉璐即赴山西调研。他在参加民进山西大学支部的组织生活时,听到82岁高龄的民进老会员王清华的发言后,深有感触:“我以前在会中央的一次活动中见过王老,但是不熟悉。这次听了她的发言,我深深地被感动了。老人家为了参加这次组织生活,认真准备,三天里稿子改了好几遍,一笔不苟地誊清。发言极其朴实,听了就会强烈地感受到她对民进的深情。会后限于时间,我只和老人家简单地聊了几句,她一一询问会中央老领导的情况,并要我代她致意。王老一生只是民进的一名会员,没有担任过任何领导职务,一直踏踏实实、默默地奉献。进入耄耋之年,还这样惦念、热爱着自己的组织,是老人高贵品德所致。这也反映出我会巨大的凝聚力,说明该支部的工作,包括敬老尊老的工作做得出色。如果我们有更多基层组织的工作能像山西大学支部那样,有更多的会员具有王老这种精神,民进对国家的贡献就更大了。现在我会正在努力加强基层组织的建设,把政治交接的任务落实到基层,王老看似平淡的发言可能对我会干部和广大会员具有启示作用。”王清华老人系近代著名学者王伯祥先生的女儿,早年任职上海开明书店,新中国成立后,在中国青年出版社工作,1961年调至山西太原工作。据民进山西大学支部同志介绍,每次组织生活,她都积极参加,堪称表率。现把她在民进组织生活会上的发言刊发于后。
