2002年6月,随着兖矿集团体制和组织结构改革的进一步深化,煤化分公司应运而生。现有职工10395人,其中,工程技术人员1305人,资产总额243842.66万元,年销售收入10亿元。拥有水煤浆气化暨煤化工国家工程研究中心和上海兖矿能源科技研发有限公司、鲁南化肥厂、焦化厂、兖矿科蓝煤焦化有限公司、济宁凯模特化工有限公司、兖矿峄山化工有限公司。主导产品有合成氨、尿素、甲醇、焦碳、煤气等,年生产能力已分别达到50万吨、80万吨、10万吨、18万吨、1200万立方,其中合成氨、尿素的年生产能力位居全省前三名。
