同是2004,不同的两家电影发行公司,在地球两端遥相呼应,分别在自家的市场展现了高超的炒作能力。北美的“新市场”把一部事先无人敢接的宗教电影,活生生炒成了一只聚宝盆,截至7月初,《受难》总共在北美掠走了3亿7 020万美元的票房。地球这边的“新画面”也毫不逊色,硬是把《十面埋伏》炒成了目前中国电影的第一焦点。不过,与《受难》在北美市场经历的关注一样,《十面埋伏》也是在敌意与热情两种截然不同的态度的夹击下,一路小跑过来的。也许世界上很多人对待崭新事物从来如此,犹如眼下军火界的FCS、FRES、SEP—这类旨在改变重型部队“过重”、轻型部队“过轻”、并期待藉此引领陆军转型的模块化中型装甲车,它注定要在敌意与热情的双重夹击下落幕。我们没有理由不表现超乎寻常的关心,犹如10年不看电影的老百姓步入影院。
