一、问题提出与假设传统英语教学遵循如下顺序:字母——音标——单词——句子——篇章——听说读写。这种英语教学方式会带来如下问题:有的学生虽然认识字母的读音,但是面对单词却无法正确拼读,听写单词时容易出现各种拼写错误;有的学生失去音标的帮助,就无法正确拼读;还有的学生离开教师就寸步难行,不能预习课文,无法进行课外阅读,等等。
