Finite analysis method was used to study the EC ’volt-ampere characteristics of the microdisk electrode. The results show that the finite analysis method can be used to simulate the voltammetry of homogeneous chemical reaction on the microelectrode. The theory of determining the first-order and pseudo-first-order catalytic rate constants on the microdisk electrode was proposed
