建安时期,是我国文学史上“文学的自觉的时代”,由于其鲜明的时代特色和特定的精神内涵而被冠之以“建安风骨”、“建安风力”,时至今日仍然放射出灿烂的光辉。《文心雕龙·时序》论建安文学说:“自献帝播迁,文学蓬转,建安之末,区宇方辑。魏武以相王之尊,雅爱诗章;文帝以副君之重,妙善辞赋;陈思以公子之豪,下笔琳琅:并体貌英逸,故俊帮之蒸。……观其时文,雅好慷慨。良由世积乱离,风衰俗怨,并志深而笔长,故梗概而多气也。”“雅好慷慨”、“梗概而多气”,正是建安文学一个十分重要的特点。而这一点,在曹植这位被钟嵘称之为“建安之杰”(《诗品·总论》)的命运多舛的文坛主将的作品中,得到了最淋漓尽致的体现。

This point is most vividly illustrated in the works of Cao Zhi, the master of the literary world, whom the benevolent Zhong Jian called “Jian An Jie” (“Shi Pin Zheng Lun”).
