矿区平面控制网的测设在矿山建設中占着一个重要的地位。控制网测设的好坏,关系着矿山各项测量工作和矿山建設工作是否能順利进行。矿山建設一般是經历地质勘探、勘察設計、基本建设,最后是生产时期。由于各个时期对测量精度要求不同,对如何作好矿区控制网的技术设计、正确适当的布设矿区控制网是应当给以必要重视的。东川自1951年到1959年中,前后进行了为数巨大的平面控制的測设工作,从时间和要求上来看,我们大体可分为三个时期,即地质勘探、勘察設計和基本建設三个时期的布网。由于各个时期服务对象不同,测量单位較多,彼此缺乏联系,因而在矿区中作了三次較大规模的布网;在控制测量中投下了很大的力量。勘探初期(1951年)在矿区进行了第一次控制网的测設,当时只考虑满足初期地质勘探需要,同时又缺乏
