中国科学院院士、国际著名加速器物理学家、2011年度国家最高科学技术奖获得者,九三学社社员,中国科学院高能物理研究所研究员、原副所长谢家麟先生因病于2016年2月20日8时12分在北京逝世,享年96岁。谢家麟1920年生于黑龙江省哈尔滨市,1943年毕业于燕京大学物理系,1951年在美国斯坦福大学获博士学位,回国途中受阻,被迫返回美国。1955年,他冲破重重阻力回到祖国,先后在中国科学院原子能研究

Xie Jialin was born in 1920 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. He graduated from the Department of Physics at Yenching University in 1943 and received his Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in the United States in 1951. He was hindered on his return journey and was forced to return to the United States.
