金陵女子大学南京校友会会长王韵芳老人在回忆往昔的时候,对60年前进校时受到的校训仍一字不忘:“生的目的不光是为了自己活着,而是要用自己的智慧和能力来帮助他人和社会,这样不但有益于别人,自己的生命也因之而更加丰满。这就是吴校长给我们说的‘厚生’。”她口中的吴校长,就是吴贻芳。吴贻芳,江苏泰兴人,1893年1月26日生于湖北武昌,出生书香世家,排行老三,毕业于金陵女子大学,1928年受聘于母校,先后主校23年,将金陵女子
