1986年10月内陆钢铁公司决定在东芝加哥印第安纳哈伯厂高炉改用熔剂性球团矿。1986年10月对弗吉尼亚(明尼苏达州)内陆钢铁矿山公司的米诺仁矿山开始进行向熔剂性球团转产的改造设计,1987年4月开始施工,于1987年8月30日交付使用。转产工程包括以下四个部分: 1) 熔剂设备改造2) 焙烧设备改造3) 辅助设备改造4) 操作系统更换米诺卡熔剂性球团转产工程业已提前完成,主要改造费用未超支且球团矿质量完全符合技术要求。
In October 1986, the mainland steel company decided to switch to a flux pellet at the blast furnace in the Indianapolis, Utah, plantation in Chicago. In October 1986, the conversion design of flux pellets was started in the Minuoren Mine of the inland steel mine company in Virginia (Minnesota). Construction was started in April 1987 and was delivered on August 30, 1987.
