Objective To evaluate the relationship between different estrogen receptor (ER) subtypes and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in fresh human breast cancer specimens and to explore its possible role in tumor angiogenesis. Methods Totally 86 surgical specimens of breast cancer patients were collected. The contents of ERβ and VEGF were detected by Western blotting. The content of ERα was detected by immunohistochemistry.
