在庆祝中国共产党成立四十周年的时候，党向我们提出了认真地系统地学习社会主义建设这样一项严重的任务，要求我们通过学习，进一步认识和掌握社会主义建设的客观规律，以便多快好省地进行我国的社会主义建设。毛泽东同志提出的发展国民经济要以农为基础，以工业为主导，优先发展重工业和迅速发展农业相结合的方针，是运用马克思列宁主义原理对我国社会主义建设的丰富经验的总结。认真学习毛泽东同志关于以农业为基础，以工业为主导的理论，对于我们认识和掌握我国社会主义建设的客观规律有极其重要的意义。

It is extremely important for us to conscientiously study Comrade Mao Tse-tung’s theory of using agriculture as the basis and using industry as the leading factor to understand and grasp the objective laws of our country’s socialist construction.
