七月,寰宇娱乐有限公司和南京电影制片厂、中国电影合拍公司出品、徐小明制作有限公司协助拍摄的电影《烽火小孤鸿》于中国上海古镇朱家角开拍,由监制徐李凤鸣和导演杜国威率领的近百人摄制大队于月前已经在当地筹备,准备拍摄。 以1938年南京这动荡时代作背景的《烽火小孤鸿》,主要描写大时代的“情”,当中包括母女情、姊妹情、邻居情、友情,其中以母亲与爱女间的亲情最为感人肺腑,令人动容。为配合剧情需要,《烽火小孤鸿》一片有不少小朋友的戏份,制作单位于月前与来自全国超过六百位五岁至十二的小朋友进行面试,甄选五位极具天分的小演员参与此次演出。选小演员已经如此严谨,女主角更是不容有失。《烽火小孤鸿》中年轻母亲一角,由香港著名演员叶童小姐饰演,叶童为香港实力演技派之代表,角色层面极阔,善于演绎不同女性特质,与同样强于捉摸女性感情的导演杜国威可谓一拍即台,必定可以擦出不少火花。
