In ancient China, women living under the feudal patriarchal rule were not only excluded from social life, but also subjected to many repressions within the family. And such restrictions on women became more and more harsh as the feudal society progressed. However, the integration of family and family, the ethics of loyalty and filial piety, and family ethics have made it possible for women to obtain partial power within this system. In the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties, the widowed mother, the concubine and the concubine separately represent the three types of women with different status in family life. Through the analysis of their images and circumstances, we can understand the living conditions and internal differences of women under the feudal patriarchal system.
