The first “China-ASEAN Nuclear Power Capacity Building Activities” kicked off at the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base in Shenzhen in early June. More than 20 senior government officials from 9 member countries of ASEAN and China attended the opening ceremony and participated in the 7-day training exchange. The event was commissioned by China’s National Energy Administration and jointly implemented by China Guangdong Nuclear Power and ASEAN Energy Center. Both parties hope to enhance mutual understanding through activities and jointly explore opportunities and modes of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of clean energy such as nuclear power.
