“客礼”是中国传统社会人际交往的普遍礼仪,但客礼具有特殊的意义而与甄别尊卑等级的臣礼相对立而存在。客礼往往被引用到不同社会等级成员的交往,用以表达平等、不屈或尊崇的意思。从先秦起,客礼就被引入到国家宾礼制度中,以客礼相待某些诸侯国;西汉确立了客礼接待外宾的制度;至北宋,宾礼制度中正式规定了部分官员相见时行客礼,清代宾礼制度也有类似规定。虽然同为待客之礼,但从制度的层面而言,客礼并不等同于五礼制度中的宾礼,实际上宾礼中包含着客礼。
“Passenger service ” is a universal etiquette of human relations in traditional Chinese society.
