本文以苏州古城区为例,在深刻理解城市空间、历史文化和时代特征的基础上,梳理出古城区在公共艺术设计上取得的成果、存在的不足和亟待解决的问题,旨在从地域特色的角度阐述公共艺术设计对改善城市公共空间环境,塑造城市形象,提升城市品质的重要作用。同时,尝试开拓公共艺术的创作思路和方向,为立足本土,传承传统文化,保护城市特色开辟新的思路。
Taking the ancient city of Suzhou as an example, on the basis of profound understanding of the urban space, history and culture and the characteristics of the times, this paper combs out the achievements, problems and problems to be solved in the design of public art in the ancient city. From the perspective of public art design to improve the urban public space environment, shaping the image of the city, to enhance the quality of the city’s important role. At the same time, it tries to explore the creative thinking and direction of public art and opens up new ideas for locating the traditional culture and protecting the urban features.
