Fifty years ago, the Chinese people were forced to wage a war of defending their homeland and defending the United States and aiding their country. In this war, the Chinese and Korean troops captured 5,000 officers and soldiers of the “United Nations Army.” These 5,000 prisoners of war lived in my prisoner of war camp for two years and 78 months. At the end of 1953, when our army repatriated them under the armistice agreement with North Korea, 21 U.S. prisoners of war and 1 British prisoners of war refused to repatriate, disregarding the United States Obstructed, resolutely asked to stay in China.
