我国沿海地区兴起建设国际化大都市的研探热点,有其历史背景,这是我国加快改革开放和现代化建设步伐的需要,是我国加快城市化步伐和大城市发展的需要,是世界经济格局变化,特别是亚太经济崛起的需要。当前世界看好亚太,亚太看好中国。中国幅员最辽阔,人口最多,产业前景最诱人,市场潜力最雄厚,建设国际化大都市,其理至为明显。建设国际化的都市,中国看好上海,上海走向国际化大都市的最基本的独特优势有以下几点:
