Acute hypoxia can lead to organ damage, resulting in varying degrees of altitude sickness, so studying the protective effect of drugs on the body is very important. Sildenafil, a drug mainly used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, has been used for the treatment of high altitude pulmonary hypertension in recent years. However, there are few studies on its use as a cardioprotective drug. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of sildenafil on myocardium in rats at an altitude of 4 300 m. Thirty male Wistar rats were selected and divided into A group (empty self-control group), B group (plateau control group) and C group (plateau sildenafil group). The hearts were sacrificed after 3 days of standard feeding and the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA)
