碳石墨材料具有耐高温、热膨胀系数低、有良好的耐腐蚀性、独特的自润滑性等特性。这些优良特性,使碳石墨材料被广泛地应用于化工、冶金、机械、航空、原子能等部门。碳石墨材料和金属相比,虽然有许多金属材料所不及的优异性能,但也有其严重弱点,例如机械强度低,易漏液漏气,这就大大地限制了碳石墨材料的应用范围。国内外碳石墨材料工业部门都致力于研究新工艺,以便利用碳石墨材料的优良性能,克服其弱点,改善性能,扩大应用范围。而浸渍金属的工艺就是达到此目的最有效的新工艺之一。
