The abnormal rate of latent phase auditory evoked potential (ML-AEP) in 21 patients with persistent vegetative state (PVS) was 100%, which proved that ML-AEP had a high diagnostic value in PVS and could help to determine the damage of the auditory pathway above the brainstem . At the same time prove ML-AEP wave Na, Pa originated in the temporal lobe and subcortical structures. The presence of PMR in patients may suggest that there is some awareness, and the presence of PMR on both sides can be used as a sign of PVS consciousness recovery, and the disappearance of PMR on both sides can be used as one of the criteria for PVS-assisted diagnosis.
