1989年8月10日,在唐山市乐亭县南部的渤海岸边,拉开了跨世纪的“北方大港”、全国首家挖入式港口建设的序幕。一、建设中的京唐港作为国家重要港口、河北省重点工程、唐山市龙头项目的京唐港,东距秦皇岛港64海里,西距天津新港70海里,距韩国仁川港400海里,距日本长崎港680海里。这里有长达6公里的宜建港海岸线,水深岸陡,不淤不冻,工程地质条件良好,可建设100多个万吨级的泊位,并具备建设20万吨级深水大港的条件。京唐港分为东、西两个港区,目前建设的是西港区,规划三个港池。

Jingtang Port is divided into East and West two ports, the current construction of the West Port District, planning three harbor.
