斯氏尖叶瘿螨的发育起点为5.373±1.39℃,有效积温为170.07±14.64日度。在21℃下,完成一代需11天。南京地区年发生22~23代。实验种群生命表的结果表明:净生殖率(Ro)为6.2496;世代平均周期为10.8357天;周限生长率为1.1843;内禀增长率(rm)为0.1691。光周期变化对此螨不会诱发滞育。33℃对卵孵化有影响,并导致孵化后大量死亡。35℃时卵不能孵化。成螨的过冷却点为—25.44±0.5℃。田间种群密度在1月下、5月下和10月下~11月中出现三次高峰,药剂防治在4月下~5月上和11月为宜。
