I remember one summer, I wore a suspenders dress, plus a small shawl. Less than a week, more than a dozen girls in our class wore such skirts. One colleague joked: “Who does the students like?” I did not mind at the time, but I thought carefully. This is not just a joke, but it does make a point. Whenever I use the meager rain to moisten the hearts of students, the students return me to peace and quiet; but when I use the storm to deter students’ minds, the students still feel anxious and restless.
